THE FOLKLORE SERIES
This series explores themes found in folklore. The idea that myth is rooted in reality – storytelling as a form of protection – helps us navigate the world. These artworks rely on one’s imagined imagery embedded from a fundamental time. Yet, no specific story is tangible, nor is identifiable iconography used. The images are abstracted. This lets the paintings access memory. They evoke the impressions created by stories and the emotional traces left behind.
